Paul Lee – Vocalist

Paul Lee’s velvety yet commanding vocals gained worldwide recognition when he sang the iconic lead in ‘Stand By Me’ at Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s Royal wedding, performed by The Kingdom Choir. This unforgettable performance reached a global audience of over two billion people, earning praise for its emotional depth and exquisite control.

Paul’s remarkable 45-year career in the UK Gospel music scene spans various genres, including Gospel, Classical, Pop, and Soul. He has contributed his vocals to countless music, film, TV, radio, and studio recordings. Paul has also provided backing vocals for classical performances and participated in a DVD recording for the Queen’s Golden Jubilee at Buckingham Palace.

As a member of ‘The London Adventist Chorale,’ directed by Ken Burton, Paul won prestigious titles like ‘Sainsbury’s Choir of the Year 1994/5’ and ‘BBC Radio 2 Gospel Choir of the Year 1995/6.’ He has graced numerous TV shows worldwide, including ‘People Get Ready,’ ‘Top of the Pops,’ and ‘BBC Songs of Praise.’

Paul’s illustrious career extends to collaborations with music legends such as Stevie Wonder, Michael Jackson, Maxi Priest, and Boy George. Internationally, he toured with American opera singer Jessye Norman and Japanese composer Shiro Sagisu, who composed the song for the opening of the 2021 Tokyo Olympic Games.

Currently, Paul divides his time between performances and broadcasting. He hosts and produces shows like ‘Gospel Through The Night’ on London’s Premier Gospel Radio, and he’s the Director of Adventist Radio London, where he also produces and co-hosts ‘The Request Show,’ ‘Tell Me A Story,’ and ‘In The News.’ Paul’s recent contribution to the BAFTA Nominated ‘Our Dementia Choir’ with Vicky McClure and Mark DeLisser reflects his ongoing commitment to music and community.
